From Start Lines to Show Floors: How Sunday Shades Made 2025 Our Biggest Year Yet”

2025 was a defining year for Sunday Shades. It was the year our brand truly came alive on the ground, across borders, across sports, and across communities. What began as a mission to create accessible, well-designed sunglasses has grown into something much deeper: a lifestyle brand rooted in movement, inclusivity, and real-world connection. Throughout the year, Sunday Shades showed up where people run, ride, train, play, compete, and celebrate, while simultaneously launching one of our most extensive and well-received product lineups to date.

One of the most meaningful chapters of the year was our involvement in Operation Broken Wing 2025, a fitness-driven charity initiative that turns physical effort into tangible social impact. Sunday Shades proudly sponsored a two-person team, “All D Gears But No Idea – powered by Sunday Shades,” made up of Sharon, a Sunday Shades ambassador, and Alfred. Their participation was not about performance rankings or podium finishes. It was about showing up with intention, pushing through discomfort, and contributing to a cause bigger than themselves. Their journey reflected what Sunday Shades stands for: humility, resilience, and movement with purpose.

Our commitment to inclusivity in sport was further reflected in our participation in Paralympic Fiesta 2025, held from August 25 to August 31 at Punggol Waterway. Paralympic Fiesta celebrates para sports, accessibility, and the belief that movement belongs to everyone. Being part of this event allowed Sunday Shades to engage with para-athletes, families, and members of the public, reinforcing the idea that outdoor lifestyle brands should actively support inclusive communities. It was a powerful reminder that sport is not defined by limitation, but by determination and possibility.

Running remained a core pillar of our community presence throughout the year. At the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon Sports and Lifestyle Expo, Sunday Shades hosted a booth that became a gathering point for runners preparing for one of the country’s largest endurance events. Marathon runners understand the importance of reliable gear, especially during long hours outdoors, and the expo allowed participants to experience our sunglasses firsthand, ask questions, and see how our designs fit into real race-day conditions.

On November 9, 2025, Sunday Shades was also present at the Great Eastern Women’s Run, one of Singapore’s most established and empowering running events. The Women’s Run represents confidence, inclusivity, and shared progress, values that align naturally with our brand. Connecting with runners at this event allowed us to showcase sunglasses designed to balance performance, comfort, and everyday style, especially for women who move fluidly between training, work, and social life.

Our engagement with the endurance community extended beyond Singapore. In Hong Kong, Sunday Shades participated in the Asia Pacific Trail Running Expo, held from January 21 to January 23, 2026, at D2 Place One in Lai Chi Kok. As the official exhibition connected to the Hong Kong Ultra 100 trail running community, the expo brought together ultra-distance runners and outdoor enthusiasts from across the region. These conversations highlighted the importance of dependable eye protection for athletes spending long hours navigating changing terrain and light conditions, reinforcing our commitment to versatility and durability in design.

Functional fitness was another major focus in 2025. At the Cigna Healthcare HYROX Hong Kong fitness race, which took place on July 26 and 27 at AsiaWorld-Expo as part of the larger Fitness and Wellness Expo, Sunday Shades engaged with a global fitness audience. HYROX athletes demand gear that performs under pressure, transitions seamlessly between activities, and remains wearable beyond competition. Being part of this exhibition demonstrated that Sunday Shades belongs in high-intensity environments as much as in everyday life.

Cycling also played a significant role in our 2025 journey. At the OCBC Cycle 2025 Expo, held from May 2 to May 4, Sunday Shades created a memorable presence despite the race itself being virtual that year. Far from feeling distant, the expo activation brought the cycling community together in a hands-on way. Our Bike Trial “Skills Challenge” activation with Sunday Shades x Biketrial Singapore allowed participants to test their balance, control, and agility, creating an engaging experience that drew strong crowds and enthusiastic feedback. The event underscored our belief that community connection matters more than format, and that movement can be celebrated in many forms.

Beyond competition and endurance, Sunday Shades also embraced lifestyle-driven events. At Music Run Malaysia, the energy shifted from racing to celebration. The event brought together movement, music, and fun, attracting participants motivated by joy rather than finish times. Sunday Shades resonated strongly with this audience, demonstrating that active living can be expressive, social, and inclusive.

One of the fastest-growing communities we engaged with in 2025 was pickleball. Sunday Shades showcased products at various pickleball events, connecting with players who value quick reactions, lateral movement, and clear vision. Pickleball’s mix of indoor and outdoor play creates unique eyewear demands, and close interaction with this community directly informed one of our most successful product launches of the year.

In 2025, Sunday Shades introduced the Daybreak Max with photochromic lenses, a release that quickly became a standout within the pickleball community. Designed to adapt seamlessly to changing light conditions, the photochromic Daybreak Max allows players to move between indoor and outdoor courts without switching eyewear. The reception was immediate and enthusiastic. Players praised its fast lens adaptation, strong visual clarity for ball tracking, secure fit during rapid movement, and a design that transitions easily from court to everyday wear. Its success reinforced our belief that the best products are built around real-world use.

2025 was also one of our most ambitious years in terms of product launches. Based on official product listings and 2025 collections, Sunday Shades released or prominently introduced many new sunglasses models as part of our Latest Releases lineup. These included Carnival Flare, Thermocline Flare, Sunkissed Flare, Caramel Crunch Flare, Starstruck Classic, Heartbalm Classic, Kelp Canopy Classic, and Look This Way Classic. Each model reflected our evolving design language while maintaining our commitment to comfort, versatility, and accessible pricing.

In addition to the core lineup, Sunday Shades introduced two special-edition releases tied to our Love The Ocean 2025 campaign: Love The Ocean – Gentle Giants Flare and Love The Ocean – Deep Echo Flare. These designs reflected our ongoing commitment to ocean awareness and environmental storytelling, blending purpose with everyday wearability.

March 2025 also marked the launch of the Volt series, which quickly became an instant hit. The Volt series brought a bolder, more energetic edge to our lineup, resonating strongly with customers looking for sunglasses that matched high-intensity movement and confident self-expression. Its reception further validated the direction we’re taking as a brand that listens closely to its community.

May 2025 also marked the launch of the Coast series, a long-anticipated addition to the Sunday Shades lineup designed for those who’ve always felt caught between style and comfort. Built with a more generous silhouette and thoughtfully adjusted proportions, the Coast series was created for broader fits without compromising on aesthetics. The response was immediate and reassuring, especially from customers who had previously struggled to find sunglasses that sat comfortably without pinching or pressure. With its relaxed lines, balanced weight, and easy all-day wear, the Coast series quickly became a reminder that great design starts by listening, and that everyone deserves sunglasses that feel as good as they look.

Across all events and launches, the reception to Sunday Shades products in 2025 was consistently encouraging. Whether at marathons, fitness expos, cycling activations, pickleball courts, or lifestyle runs, people weren’t just browsing our sunglasses, they were wearing them in action. Customers frequently highlighted comfort, versatility, clean design, and value as reasons they chose Sunday Shades. Seeing our products adopted organically in real environments remains the strongest affirmation of our approach.

Looking back, the defining theme of 2025 was presence. Sunday Shades didn’t remain behind screens or rely solely on digital storytelling. We showed up physically, listened closely, tested products in real conditions, and built relationships face to face. From charity fitness initiatives and inclusive community festivals to endurance expos, cycling activations, and emerging sports, each experience helped shape who we are becoming.

As we move forward, the momentum from 2025 continues to guide us. We remain committed to designing sunglasses that support active, outdoor lifestyles while staying accessible, inclusive, and community-driven. More events, more collaborations, and more thoughtfully designed products lie ahead, all grounded in the belief that movement connects people and that brands can create meaningful impact by showing up.

To everyone who ran, rode, trained, played, celebrated, or simply stopped by to chat with us this year, thank you. You’re not just wearing Sunday Shades. You’re part of the journey, and we’re excited for what’s next.
